Our Story
BlackWood Capital Partners was founded by experienced financiers who saw the need to help angel investors gain access to the leading European startups. We connect our exclusive network of members with a selected group of startups and enable them to leverage their capital, networks, and expertise to make an impact.
Since our establishment in 2020, we have partnered with 50+ leading incubators, accelerators, and universities across Europe to access startups that are changing the world.

Bastian Larsen
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Larsen previously worked for BlackRock in London, Geneva, and New York, where he co-led global product strategy for the firm's largest hedge fund.
Mr. Larsen has an MBA from the University of Oxford and a BSc from Copenhagen Business School.
Thomas Derambure
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Derambure previously worked as a senior strategy consultant at Stanwell. Prior to this, he led the development of the leading private security company in Senegal.
Mr. Derambure has an MSc in Strategic Management from HEC Paris and a BBA from HEC Montreal.
Valentijn Verberk
Investment Analyst
Mr. Verberk previously worked as a research assistant within the economics department of Copenhagen Business School.
Mr. Verberk has a BSc in Economics from Maastricht University.
Joachim Enegaard
Investment Analyst
Mr. Enegaard previously worked as head of partnerships at Millennial and served in a leadership position within the Royal Danish Guards.
Mr. Enegaard has a BSc in International Business from Copenhagen Business School.
Pina Laux
Investment Analyst
Ms. Laux previously worked as a Business Innovation Analyst at 1886Ventures. Prior to this, she was a Concept Developer at Full Moon Group.
Ms. Laux has a BSc in Economics from Maastricht University.
Marcus Szpirt
Partnership Manager
Mr. Szpirt previously worked in business development roles at consulting companies focused on real estate, intelligence, and cyber defense.
Mr. Szpirt is a BSc student at Copenhagen Business School.

Simon Stampe
Chairman of the Board
Simon Stampe is the founder of Bloomingville, which he successfully exited in 2014. He previously held positions as VP and CEO in several large companies, both in Denmark and abroad (e.g. IC Companys, Levi Strauss & Co., and ID Design).
Henrik Rossing
Member of the Board
Henrik Rossing is the founder of Fitness World, which he grew into a multi-billion DKK company before selling a majority stake to FSN Capital in 2019 for $400m. He is also the founder of Wash World and My Home Box.
Jakob Kjelgaard
Member of the Board
Mr. Kjelgaard is the founder of Core Capital, a multi-family office based in Luxembourg. Prior, he was Director and member of management at Credit Suisse. Jakob has been active within wealth management for ultra high net-worth investors since the 1980’s and brings along a significant investing experience from his assignments in the Far East, Isle of Man and Spain.
Aleksandar Grgic
Member of the Board
Mr. Grgic is the Director of Space Solutions at Weibel Scientific and Head of Sales for the APAC region. He is also a member of the Steering Committee for the Danish Defence and Security Industries Association. Previously, he was an assistant professor at DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
